The A.P. Jyotirmai Society, as an essential part of the Telugu Catholic Bishops' Council (TCBC), plays a pivotal role in the socio-economic development of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It stands as a beacon of hope and progress, channeling its efforts into social, educational, and skill development initiatives that cater to the Telugu-speaking populace. This society is not just an organization; it is a dynamic resource body dedicated to enlightening the common people on social issues and skill enhancement techniques.

By setting clear priorities, the Jyotirmai Society meticulously formulates budgets and judiciously allocates funds to various projects, ensuring that every penny is spent towards the upliftment of the local communities. The evaluation of past works is a testament to its commitment to continuous improvement, while its problem-solving approach and strategic planning signify a relentless pursuit of future growth for the local populace.

Each diocese within the states has its own Jyotirmai committee, a diverse group comprising priests, religious, laymen, and women, all working in unison towards a common goal. The central office, the nerve center of the society, oversees the administration of its affairs, with a dedicated full-time staff operating under the vigilant eye of the Executive Committee.

The society's ethos of co-responsibility and participatory systems fosters a collaborative environment where every individual's contribution is valued. This approach not only empowers the local people but also instills a sense of ownership and pride in the collective achievements of the region. The A.P. Jyotirmai Society is more than an organization; it is a movement that motivates the community towards self-reliance and sustainable development. Our Vision

Jyotirmai envisions being the Telugu Regional Centre of the Telugu Church in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, building her up as a Communion of Communities (BCCs), imparting Faith formation, and Training for Missionary Discipleship to proclaim the Gospel and be a witness for the Kingdom of God.

Our Mission

Mission of Jyotirmai is to empower and renew the Telugu Catholic Church by functioning as the Telugu Regional Centre which gives training in Faith Formation for Committed Christian life through deeper knowledge of the Word of God and meaningful participation in the Eucharist and other Sacraments, promotes New Evangelization, effective Social Ministry, Christian Leadership, builds up Self-Reliant Basic Christian Communities, Education, Skill Development for Children, Youth and Women. Fosters various ministries and charisms in the Telugu Church, according to the directives given by TRPP (of TCBC).
