The A.P. Jyotirmai Society, as an essential part of the Telugu Catholic Bishops' Council (TCBC), plays a pivotal role in the socio-economic development of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It does the Social, Educational and Skill Development activities for the whole Region of Telugu speaking people. It is more of resource body to educate the common people in the matters of Social and Skill teachings. Jyotirmai Society determines priorities, formulates and decides upon the budget, allocates funds to various projects, evaluates the past works, tries to solve problems and plans for the future growth of the Local people. In each diocese, in turn, it has a Jyotirmai committee consisting of priests, religious, laymen and women. The Central office manages the administration of Society affairs with full-time staff under the control of the Executive Committee. We promote co-responsibility and participatory systems in the Region.
